Hartley's Crocodile Adventures
Ready to meet some of Australia’s most iconic and fascinating wildlife? Spend the day with the apex predator, the crocodile. Hartley’s is home to around 3000 crocs and is the best place to see the largest living reptile in the Far North. Take a cruise on the lagoon and explore the natural habitat of the saltwater croc, where croc sightings are absolutely guaranteed. 19 crocs ranging in size from 2.5-5 metres in length call the tropical estuarine wetland’s home. Fantastic photo opportunities will be on offer to wow everyone on social media, as one of Hartley’s croc experts feeds the hungry salties from a specially constructed viewing vessel. Witness the true power and strength of the crocodile as experienced zookeepers demonstrate the dominant predator’s notorious hunting skills the death roll and head shake at the Crocodile Attack Show. Learn how Hartley’s helps contribute to the conservation of the protected species, which is vulnerable to extinction, at its crocodile farm. Had enough of crocs? explore the rest of the eco-park and get up close and personal with its abundance of less-dangerous but equally mesmerising wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, lizards, turtles, waterbirds, emus and the spectacular cassowary.
