Established in 1990, the Down Under Tours’ driven and professional team deliver expert service, connecting our guests to the best of Cairns and Tropical North Queensland. With our passion and knowledge, discover the only place on earth where two World Heritage Sites meet, with wildlife, waterfalls, the world’s oldest rainforest and stories from ancient Indigenous cultures.
With comprehensive day and private touring options, guests can explore Cape Tribulation, Cooktown, and the rainforests of Kuranda and Daintree with our experienced Driver Guides. Our comprehensive premium fleet includes private touring sedans and large coaches featuring advanced safety systems, custom luxury interiors, reclining leather seats, timber floors and panoramic windows. We invest in inclusive transport, with wheelchair-accessible vehicles so all guests can explore Cairns and Tropical North Queensland together.
Our sustainability practices are independently audited and certified through Ecotourism Australia. We have maintained the Advanced Ecotourism level of certification for over 25 years and have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Our Advanced Ecotourism Certification covers our full range of Day Tours, Private Tours and Coach Charter.
Since 2023, we have partnered with Rainforest Rescue to help protect areas of the Daintree Rainforest. To date, this partnership has contributed to the protection of four properties, encompassing 71,050 square metres of rainforest and including the planting of 10386 trees to restore native habitat and wildlife corridors.
