Enjoy Easter in the Park at Kuranda
Easter is here again, and what better way to celebrate it than by having fun with the family in an idyllic setting?
Easter in the Park is an annual celebration held at Kuranda, the Village in the Rainforest, and this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever. This FREE event is being held at Kuranda’s Centenary Park on Easter Saturday, April 15th, from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., with a wide variety of entertainment for the whole family.
Catch the Golden Egg
One of the highlights of the Far North Queensland calendar, Easter in the Park features the famous Easter Egg Drop, which sees the Easter Bunny dropping a total of 14,000 Easter eggs down onto the community of Kuranda! An egg drop takes place every hour during the event. As the eggs rain down, one lucky person will catch the Golden Egg to win a mystery Kuranda prizewinner’s package!
Kids aged five and under will have the chance to meet the Easter Bunny in person! They can have their picture taken with him before receiving their own personal bag of Easter eggs. Kids of all ages will love taking part in the face painting and races, and there are jumping castles for different age groups.
Entertainment for the Whole Family
Easter in the Park isn’t just about the kids. There’ll be live music, Aboriginal dance performances and candy making demonstrations at various venues throughout the village. There will also be top performers from Dream State Circus to impress you with their incredible skills!
While you’re joining in the fun, you’ll also have the chance to learn more about Kuranda’s ecology, conservation projects and arts co-op at the various stalls at the event, which are bound to inspire you to explore the area further.
