The Experience

Your day begins with private pickup from your accommodation before heading north to the tranquil Cattana Wetlands, where palm forests, boardwalks and birdlife offer a gentle introduction to the region’s ecosystems.

From here, you’ll enjoy an exclusive cultural experience at Jum Rum Creek in the rainforests of Kuranda. Welcomed by a Djabugay Ranger Guide, you’ll participate in a Calling to Country ceremony, gaining insight into the deep spiritual connection between the Djabugay people and this land, and learning how culture, nature and story are inseparable in this ancient landscape.

Continuing west, the journey unfolds across the fertile Atherton Tablelands, where rolling farmland meets rich volcanic soils. At Skybury Coffee Plantation, Australia’s oldest coffee plantation, you’ll enjoy a personalised estate tour, followed by a relaxed two-course à la carte lunch and a coffee liqueur tasting, showcasing flavours grown and crafted on site.

A sweet pause follows at Emerald Creek Ice Creamery, where tropical ice creams are produced entirely on the property using locally sourced ingredients.

Your day concludes in refined comfort aboard the Kuranda Scenic Railway  descending through World Heritage rainforest in a Gold Class carriage with lounge-style seating, locally sourced appetisers and regional beverages — a fitting finale to a richly layered day.
